Sony launched Rolly in Japan in 2007 as a “sound entertainment player”: a palm-sized, egg-shaped MP3 player with 1GB of storage, stereo speakers, Bluetooth, motorized wheels, moving arms, and synchronized lights. Sony said it hoped to create an entirely new market. Motion playback lasted about four hours, giving your music library ample time to perform a tiny escape attempt across the coffee table.
